1st Day of Kindergarten
Today was Hannah’s first day of Kindergarten at Mountain Christian School! They ease the kindergarten students into school with a 2 hour day that a parent has to attend.
On Sunday at church, Hannah met a new “best friend” and was all excited because this Sophia was starting school the same day and asked us if she was in her class. Well, this morning we found out that Sophia is in her class and sits right next to her!
Hannah wrote her name on her school supplies, started reading books, and learned some sign language to the school’s mission statement. As you can see, Katie gets along well with Hannah’s teacher, Mrs. Heningburg.
1st day of Preschool

I can’t believe our little Hannah is off to school. She wasn’t so sure about preschool in the beginning, but by the end of the day she was ready to go back. When I asked her what she did and what she learned, she told me she got to play outside & inside plus if you don’t listen and obey you will have to stand by the wall with your nose touching the wall. I asked her if she wanted to stand there with her nose to the wall and she said no way. Here are some of our pictures of the morning.
Day with the Colts
Well, Hannah and I had a wonderful day with the Colts. Thank you so much Jenny!!!! My friend Jenny, sent me a text like at 10:15 pm on a Thursday night and asked if we wanted to go and spend a day with the colts at their training camp. We said YES!!! It was so much fun. We watched them run plays, practice and get ready for a great new season. We even got to get a few autographs. Hannah got our new Head Coach, Jim Caldwell’s autograph. He was so nice and Hannah told him to have a great season. She even got to have some fun with the Indianapolis Star (our Indy newspaper) sports writer. He kept taking her princess lunch box and she just giggled and giggled. The highlight of the day, (besides the wonderful company) was getting Payton Mannings autograph. It was CRAZY, Hannah got right up in front and just stood really still and handed her shirt to him and said good luck Mr. Manning. He said, Thank you very much. What a fun day!!!!!
Here are a few pix of our fun day.

During the singing of “Happy Birthday” at Hannah’s 4th birthday party, the blowing of the candles turned out to be TOO exciting!!
Hannah’s House (4th Birthday) *VIDEO*
This video shows the first 10 minutes of Hannah’s fourth birthday. At 7am, Hannah follows clues to find her present.
Camping/Cousins Weekend *VIDEO*
This holiday weekend Katie and I had a full three day weekend and made the most of it. E91 closed all children’s programming because of the Indy 500! We only had 50-60% attendance. We borrowed the Coster’s pop-up camper and used my new Isuzu Rodeo to pull it to a private campground in Southeastern Ohio. Hannah walked the almost 3 miles of our hike to a waterfall deep in the woods. As you can see and hear, Hannah had a great time. On Sunday we drove to Columbus to spend time with the Ohio Gerbers, including some of Hannah’s cousins! -I’ll post some more photos tomorrow.

First Day of Swim Class
Thanks to Joe and Helen Bouterse, Hannah started a new swim class at the Y last week. This year she goes in the pool with a teacher, a couple other kids, AND NOT US! Katie and I were a little nervous about that fact and wondered if she would do it without us and whether a teacher could handle having kids this small that can’t swim. Well, the teacher’s name is Allison and she does a wonderful job with the kids!
Watch the video and see her kicking her legs to keep up!
Day at Disney *VIDEO*
If you didn’t know, Katie was speaking this week at a convention at a Disney Resort. Hannah and I tagged along and we all had one day to “Do Disney”! Katie did tons of research on how to plan your trip and had an ambitious itinerary for our one day. We started at Magic Kingdom, went to Epcot, then to Animal Kingdom, and then back to Magic Kingdom before collapsing in our hotel room. The day turned out perfect, from short lines to just the right bus showing up when we needed it. Thank you to those of you that made it possible!
